WPBA Great Lakes Classic Going Strong

The Women’s Professional billiard Association’s latest event has kicked off in fine style, garnering a full 64-player field in Michigan City, IN. The Great Lakes Classic is being hosted by Blue Chip Hotel and Casino and will crown the winner Sunday, March 25.

Schjodt Scores EnjoyPool.com Qualifier
Ladies Spirit Tour / Lakeland, FL

The Ladies Spirit Tour celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with a marathon tournament event at Wally’s billiards Sportsroom in Lakeland, FL, where 34 women billiard players battled for first-place prize money and the EnjoyPool.com 9-ball Championship qualifier. The competition attracted WPBA touring pros Tracie Hines and Ellen Van Buren, as well as tough players such as Jeannie Seaver, Niki Rasmussen, and Tracie Hines. Tour regular Debbie Schjodt was the one to walk away with the biggest prize, capturing not only first place but the qualifier as well.

Trevino Takes First AWBT Win
Arizona Women’s billiard Tour / Phoenix, AZ

Thirty-three women billiards players came to Metro Sportz Bar to play in the Arizona Women’s billiard Tour’s third stop, presented by J. Pechauer Custom Cues. This March 10-11 event offered a WPBA qualifier for the EnjoyPool.com 9-ball Open in May, and Michelle Trevino not only won her first AWBT event but scored the free entry as well.

Townsend and Tush Snap off The Hole Thang
Viking cue 9-ball Tour / Macon, GA

The Viking cue 9-ball Tour made its way to The Hole Thang in Macon, GA, the weekend of March 17-18 for a $1,000-added open event and a $500-added amateur event. The events drew 47 billiard players for the tournament action on the bar tables, with Scotty Townsend taking top honors in the open and Sam Tush winning first place in the amateur division.
