After eliminating Meglino in fifth place, Gilsanan had to face last year’s winner, David Uwate. Uwate’s five-match winning streak came to an end as Gilsanan recorded a 6-2 win. Gilsanan went on to face Berber in the semifinals and looked good at the beginning, holding a 5-2 lead, only for Berber to fight his way back to 5-all before Gilsanan took the last rack to reach the finals. But Satinoff proved to be too strong for Gilsanan and took control of the match early, finishing it off with a comfortable 8-3 win.
