		<description><![CDATA[Shuff in Hunt for Second VA State Champ Title Virginia State 9-Ball Championships / Midlothian, VA by InsidePOOL Staff Brandon Shuff is looking to defend his title at this year&#8217;s Virginia State 9-Ball Champships and earn another free entry into this year&#8217;s U.S. Open 9-Ball Championships. Shuff is one of eight undefeated players and sixteen on the one-loss side left at the event who will return for Sunday&#8217;s matches. Diamond Billiards in Midlothian, VA, is hosting the tournament, where included in the full 64-player field are 8 ladies, who are vying for their own entry into this year&#8217;s U.S. Open. Sherri Bruner and Angie Hawkins tied for the top-finishing lady and will face off against each other Sunday to see who will take the coveted spot. Shuff has only given up seven games in the first three rounds of his event, defeating Todd Strickland 9-3, Robert Cord 9-1, and then Greg Ferguson 9-3. His next opponent will be Greg Taylor.
